Here there is a brief explanation of the low cost processors we have used or the serious candidates we are going to use in next missions. Mostly of them are under test and more than one would be possible we never use in real missions. The final decission will be found on the Launches information and we will update this page. The next list is divided by the processors and controllers price (shipping taxes included).
The ATtiny85 is a 8-bit AVR RISC-based
8KB ISP flash memory,
512B EEPROM,
512-Byte SRAM,
1 Mhz clock
Weight: 0.51 gram as is in the picture, and sizes 10x6.5 mm
6 general purpose I/O lines, between 2.7-5.5 volts.
Will be the processor we use in our satellite (if necessary)
The Arduino Nano is a small board based on the ATmega328P.
Flash Memory 32 K of which
2 KB used by
bootloader
SRAM 2 KB
EEPROM 1 KB
Clock Speed 16 MHz
Weight: 3 gram as is in the picture
The Arduino Mega Pro is a small board based on the ATmega2560.
Flash Memory 256 K of which
8 KB used by
bootloader
SRAM 8 KB
EEPROM 4 KB
Clock Speed 16 MHz
Weight: 9.95 gram as is in the picture
Size 55 x 38 mm
Orange Pi i96
(Dismissed due to high consumption only for ground operation)
CPU: ARM Cortex-A5 32bit
Memory: 256MB SDRAM
Onboard Storage:
TF card / Integrated 512MB 8Bit
Onboard WIFI.
Sizes 60x30 mm and the real weight is 14.67 gram
Would be an interesting processor, connecting a camera and weather sensors could be launched prior to a mission to take a look to the weather.
Orange Pi 2G IOT
(Dismissed due to high consumption only for ground operation)
CPU: ARM Cortex-A5 32bit
Memory: 256MB SDRAM

TF card / Integrated 512MB 8Bit Onboard WIFI+BT
2G model The four frequency single card GSM/GPRS
The size is 67 mm × 42mm and real weight is 22 gram with pins and antennas.
Raspberry Pi Zero
CPU:Broadcom BCM2835 ARM 11
Memory:512 MB RAM LPDDR2.
Onboard Storage:
TF card/ no integrated memory
WIFI: no
Size 30x67 mm
Weight: 8.77 gram as in the picture, without micro SD and pins
Orange Pi Zero Plus 2 (Dismissed due to high consumption, only for ground operation)
CPU: Quad-core Cortex-A53
Memory: 512MB DDR3
Onboard Storage: TF card / Integrated eMMC flash(8GB)
Onboard WIFI.
Weight: 15.88 gram as in the picture (antenna and one line of pins soldered)
Size: 48 x 46 mm
Is the fastest processor we have used at the moment.
NanoPi Neo Air
CPU: H3 Quad-core cortex A7
Memory: 512MB DDR3
Onboard Storage: TF card / Integrated eMMC flash(8GB)
Onboard WIFI.
Size of 40x40 mm and weights 7.67 gram was specially designed for airborne operations. Is the tiniest and lightest CPU.
